Bad sound damping of rooms, and lack of discretion of the staff of cleaning of rooms in corridors (discuss too hardly)
The lighting in my room was too strong, very white light in eyes when we are lying, and no lamp near the bed.
Set apart that, rooms are very clean. The bar is sympatique and the very pleasant staff.
I did not like while I ate that salesmen enter the bar to want to sell me by insisting objects which I do not want to buy, there is enough in the street and I think that in the hotel one should be quiet.
I would return, and I would recommend this hotel to my friends.
Nice friendly Hotel, serving exellent food, clean aircon rooms, elevator to upper floors, pool table, darts, satellite tv, always a happy place with the managers joining in on things, A++ from me, cant wait to be back.
Avoid this dump like the plague. For over US$30 I got a tiny room with a very stinky bathroom. The AC wasn’t working. The walls were made of plywood, hence very noisy. You can hear every conversation going on around you. Ants in the bed. Holes in the towels. There are plenty of new, quality hotels nearby in the same price range. Seek them out.
Have stayed there a few times. initially it was ok. the rooms small and very noisy sometimes the a/c not working. no hot water at sink.food quite good mostly and bar good. staff friendly but it is now suffering from maintainance woes. the price appears to be going up while standards are going down. my next visit I will try elsewhere
Only went there to escape the Swagman ripoffs and was rewarded. Very friendly, clean rooms and good food. Recommend it to everyone.
I have stayed there a couple of times. The rooms are clean, the staff are friendly and the food is good pub tucker. The beer is cold and if you have a complaint tell Terry and he will fix it. Good value for your hard-earned.
we made our reservations with this hotel and they accomodated us then just as everything is settled, they called us and told us that the room they gave us is still occupied so they turned us over to ferguson towers… when we arrived from a very long trip hoping that we already have a place to stay, ferguson towers din’t give us a room saying that southern cross turned us over just because we are just staying for a night… they let us wait there for about two hours, no chairs to sit on (deng)!! and then a vendor told us “ang gusto lang nila jan yung foreigner kase madatung at siguradong may tip sila, bigyan niyo na lang ng pampadulas para papasukin na kayo” what the hell!!!! who granted these hotels their permits to operate??? or do they even have one?? where’s the hospitality there and the professionalism…?argh!
Use to stay at the SC on arrival and departure, but will no longer. They can’t seem to hold a reservation or give priority to the occupant that wants to extended their stay – Even though I had a reservation. When I have a very late arriving flight from the USA, I don’t want to hassle over my reservation.
Staff is good, room is clean, food is acceptable. Walls are thin and so are the towels.
